NO. 5 TAPE BACK SHAKER ARM CHAIR WITH SHAWL RAIL
The Mt. Lebanon Shakers designed chairs which are more than simple, functional, and well made. They are comfortable, too. We like to use these as dining chairs for that reason. They also make great occasional chairs in a living or family room. The backposts are bent to the rear and the back rails are generously curved, so that the taped back "fits" a person - tall or short - perfectly. The seat height and overall dimensions were all thoughtfully worked out by the Shakers. We reproduce these in clear hard maple. Height of back is 40 3/4". Height to top of arms 25 1/8". Height of seat 17 1/2". Width 20 3/4". Depth 17 1/8".
Available as an unfinished kit and a "made to order" finished piece.
