NO. 5 TAPE BACK SHAKER SIDE CHAIR WITH SHAWL RAIL
The Mt. Lebanon Shakers designed chairs which are more than simple, functional, and well made. They are comfortable, too. We like to use these as dining chairs for that reason. They also make great occasional chairs in a living or family room. The backposts are bent to the rear and the back rails are generously curved, so that the taped back "fits" a person - tall or short - perfectly. The seat height and overall dimensions were all thoughtfully worked out by the Shakers.
We reproduce the Tape Back Side Chair with Shawl Rail in hard maple, like the original. Height of back is 40 3/4". Height of seat 17 1/2". Width 20 3/4". Depth 17 1/8".
Shown in hard maple with Medium Stain and Lacquer Finish; woven in 5/8" Navy Blue and 7/8" Flame Stitch Shaker chair tape in a chevron pattern. Please select the stain and chair tape colors of your choice (below).
