SPLIT OAK DOUBLE PIE BASKET
The Shakers used utility baskets like this one to carry herbs, flowers, and other vegetables safely from garden to kitchen. Known today as a "double pie basket", it is simply and solidly hand woven entirely of native white oak, with no dyes, wires, or nails. The well-balanced carved handle is also native white oak. Double pie basket measures 21" x 14" x 5" deep. Overall height with handle is about 10". For use indoors and out. Made in USA.
