NO. 5 ARMLESS SHAKER ROCKER
At the 1876 Centennial Exhibition, the Mt. Lebanon Shakers were praised for combining in their chairs "strength, sprightliness, and modest beauty." This rocker is one which knitters, needleworkers, and home sewing enthusiasts find to be particularly convenient because there are no arms to hinder movement.
We make the frame of this rocker in clear hard maple. Height of back 40 3/4". Height of seat 17 14". Width 20 3/4". Depth 17 1/8".
Shown in Mahogany Stain with Lacquer Finish. Seat is woven in 1" Evergreen and 1" Natural Shaker chair tape in a checkerboard pattern.
