Our normal delivery time for Assembled and Finished Furniture is 3-4 weeks because it is made to order, in the customer's choice of stain or paint colors. However, we do make up selected pieces in advance, ready for immediate shipment. These pieces are first quality and are unconditionally guaranteed.
We have adapted the bed for modern mattresses by raising the headboard 3" up from the head rail, as shown in the photograph. Height from top of head rail to top of headboard is 15 1/4". Height of headposts is 34". Height of footposts 23 1/2".
We make this bed with a solid Eastern white pine headboard, double-tenoned and pinned into the hard maple headposts. The rest of the frame is also solid hard maple. This combination of woods is typical of the work of the Mt. Lebanon, New York Shakers, where this piece originated.
