COUNTRY FRENCH CRECHE
Illinois sculptor Sandra McKenzie Schmitt, has created this contemporary interpretation of a traditional creche from the French countryside. She works in high-fired pottery, distinguished by textured surfaces, matte finishes and natural colors. There are 15 hand-sculpted figures, ranging in size from 3/4" to 4" high. The manger includes an incised tile floor, two cut-out windows, and applied star and angel. Manger measurements are 11 1/4" wide x 12" high x 6 1/4" deep. USA.
