PERUVIAN NATIVITY RETABLO
Miniature altars in this style, known as retablos, are an art form unique to Peru. This one is the work of internationally renowned artisan, Claudio Jimenez. He has filled the gaily painted wooden box with a hand sculpted Nativity scene and an angel band overhead. Peruvian Nativity Retablo measures 3 3/4" wide (with doors closed) and 7 1/2" high. Each one is an original work of art, signed by the artist. Handmade in Peru.
