VAILLANCOURT NATIVITY
These lovely chalkware nativity figures are cast from antique molds originally used to make chocolate or ice cream forms. Each piece is hand cast, painted with oil based paints, then varnished for protection in a process that takes about 3 weeks. Most of the figures in this set are based on 19th century French and German molds in the Vaillancourt collection. The creche and its separate angel were designed specially to match the historic figures. Individually dated and signed by the artist. Made in USA.
