Hollow bodied banks were first made in England of local clay known as "pygg." Our porcelain Pyggy Banks are unique because they are made in a variety of critter shapes and colors. Each one is slip-cast, painted, glazed by hand, and signed by the potter. Complete with tight-fitting cork for easy removal of the contents. A wonderful way to encourage small children to start saving. Penguin Pyggy Bank is 6 3/4" high. Made in USA.
