SHAKER REVOLVING CHAIR
This ingenious revolving chair was the forerunner of the modern-day office chair. It was first produced at the Shakers' Mount Lebanon, New York chair factory about 1860, but we don't think they'd be surprised to learn that today it is as useful as ever. Perfect with a PC, at home or in the office. A threaded steel rod allows the seat to be raised or lowered with a quick spin. Height of seat can vary from 17 1/2" to 21 1/2". Bent back is an additional 10 1/4" high. Seat diameter is 15 1/2". We make the Shaker Revolving Chair like the original, with base and back in hard maple and a seat of clear Eastern white pine. Shown in Medium Stain with Lacquer Finish.
Available as an unfinished kit, a "ready to ship" finished piece, and a "made to order" finished piece.
