KENTUCKY SHAKER WALL CUPBOARD
The Shakers at the Pleasant Hill, Kentucky community developed a distinctive style of furnituremaking illustrated by the decorative molding at the top edge of this otherwise very simple cupboard. The use of adjustable hangers at the back was one of their innovations. This ovesized cupboard will be particularly useful in the kitchen or bath. Includes one shelf adjustable in 1" increments. The original is in the collection of Shakertown in Pleasant Hill, Kentucky.
We make the Kentucky Wall Cupboard in clear cherry throughout. Height is 21". Width 29 3/4". Depth 9 3/4". Overall height (including hangers) 26". Shown in Oil & Wax Finish.
Available as an unfinished kit, a "ready to ship" finished piece, and a "made to order" finished piece.
Kit is supplied with Oil Finish, rather than stain, to bring out the natural color of the cherry wood.
When ordering "Finished-Made to Order", you may select Oil Finish or the stain of your choice (see below).
