NO. 5 SHAWL BACK SHAKER ARM CHAIR
The Mt. Lebanon Shakers designed chairs which are more than simple, functional, and well made. They are comfortable, too. For that reason, we recommend them as dining chairs. They also make great occasional chairs in a living or family room. The gently curved back slats and overall proportions make them excellent for both residential and commercial settings.
We reproduce the Shawl Back Arm Chair both in hard maple, like the original, and also in a superior grade of clear Pennsylvania cherry. These are turned, shaped, and sanded with a result which really cannot be equalled for quality. Height of back is 40 3/4". Height to top of arms 25 1/8". Height of seat 17 1/2". Width 20 3/4". Depth 17 1/8".
Shown in hard maple with Medium Stain and Lacquer Finish; woven in 1" Black and 1" Raffia Shaker chair tape in a checkerboard pattern. Please select the stain and chair tape colors of your choice (below).
The hard maple version is available as an unfinished kit, a "ready to ship" finished piece, and a "made to order" finished piece. The clear cherry version is available as an unfinished kit, a "ready to ship" finished piece, and a "made to order" finished piece.
