Shaker Youth Chair

Originals of this chair are very rare - the Shakers at the Mt. Lebanon, New York community made only a few for friends in the 1880's. Adapted from a No. 1 Child's Rocker, it is superbly made and beautifully suited to the requirements of an active youngster. The back legs are splayed for stability, the front rail serves as a footrest, and the arms tuck underneath the table. Best of all, this chair is comfortable! Designed for children aged 2 and up. An ideal gift for any occasion. The original is in the collection of the Art Complex Museum in Duxbury, Massachusetts.

We make the Youth Chair in clear hard maple. Height of back is 34 1/2". Height to top of arms 27 3/4" Height of seat 21". Width 15". Depth 11 1/2".
