ROUND SHAKER CANDLE STAND
The purity of Shaker design is eloquently captured in these round top candle stands. In the 19th century, some Shakers sincerely believed that "their furniture was originally designed in heaven and that the patterns had been transmitted to them by angels." The arched legs are perfectly dovetailed into the tapered base, like the originals. The top is fastened to the pedestal by a rectangular cleat. We make the Round Candle Stand in solid clear maple. The original is in the collection of Hancock Shaker Village in Massachusetts. Height is 25 1/2". Top diameter 18".
Available as an unfinished kit and a "made to order" finished piece.
