At the 1876 Centennial Exhibition, the Mt. Lebanon Shakers were praised for combining in their chairs "strength, sprightliness, and modest beauty." Clear cherry frame. Shown in Oil & Wax Finish, woven in 5/8" black and 5/8" Olive/black stripe in heringbone pattern. Height of back 40 3/4". Height of seat 17 14". Width 20 3/4". Depth 17 1/8".
