HANCOCK SHAKER STEP STOOL

Step stools provide easy access to the tall chests of drawers and built-in cupboards seen in every Shaker village. Three steps make this one particularly practical. It is a duplicate of one made at the Hancock, Massachusetts Shaker community in the 19th century. The original is now in the collection of the Shaker Museum and Library in Old Chatham, New York.

We make the Hancock Step Stool in clear Eastern white pine. Height is 24". Width 17 1/4". Depth 14 1/4". Steps are each 4 1/2" deep. Shown painted green, like the original.

Available as an unfinished kit, a "ready to ship" finished piece, and a "made to order" finished piece.

Kit is supplied without stain. We recommend Stulb's Old Village Paint, which is available separately. Click here to see the colors that we stock.
