STRIPED COTTON RAG RUGS
Floor coverings in 19th century Shaker villages included a variety of flat-woven carpets, among them the familiar rag rug. To recreate the antique quality of the originals from which these are copied, our weaver selects cloth typical of the era, sometimes overdyeing or bleaching fabrics to approximate ageing. She uses a fine weaving scale of 5 to 6 rows per inch. 100% cotton. Completely reversible. Made in USA.
These rag rugs are available in two colorways: red stripe (original) or blue stripe (adaptation).
