Shaker Utility Stool - unassembled and unfinished kit
The Shaker Sisters in Second Family at the Mt. Lebanon, New York community produced this versatile stool. Although it is low enough to be stored under a table if space is at a premium, it is just right as an extra seat when guests arrive. Spinners find it an ideal height for their work, too.
We make the Utility Stool in hard maple. Height of seat is 15 1/2". Width 14" x 18". Shown assembled in a mahogany stain with a hand-rubbed oil and wax finish; woven in 1" Olive Green and 1" Natural chair tape in a checkerboard pattern.
This item is an unassembled and unfinished kit. All physical components to make this as a project are included along with instructions, however, you will be required to provide the necessary sandpaper, glue, and finish--as well as be reasonably comfortable with your own skills to obtain a satisfactory result.
