The Shaker Millennial Laws (1845) directed that "one or two stands" should be provided for the occupants of every bedroom.

Similar to its larger sibling, the New Lebanon Shaker Candlestand, this delicate example, with its slender tapered shaft and crescent shaped feet was made in the Second Family at the New Lebanon, New York Shaker village. The original is in the collection of the American Museum in Bath, England.

We make this Candle Stand in solid cherry, like the original. Height is 25 1/4". Top diameter 16". Shown in cherry with an Oil & Wax Finish.

This item is an unassembled and unfinished kit. All physical components to make this as a project are included along with instructions, however, you will be required to provide the necessary sandpaper, glue, and finish--as well as be reasonably comfortable with your own skills to obtain a satisfactory result.

Before ordering, please review important information regarding lead times and shipping charges, as well as our returns and exchange policy.
