Shaker Counter Stool
The Shakers continued to produce their popular chairs at their Mt. Lebanon, New York chair factory well into the 20th century. They expanded their line beyond the rockers and dining chairs for which they were initially famous. In fact, a photograph taken of their showroom in 1929 shows stools just like this one. Intended to be pushed under the counter when not in use.
We make this Counter Stool with a hard maple frame. Height of seat is 26". Width 18" Depth 14".
Shown in hard maple with a hand-rubbed Oil and Wax Finish; woven in 1" Evergreen and 1" Maroon chair tape in a checkerboard pattern.
