Shaker Weaver's Chair in Mahogany Stain - Ready to Ship
READY TO SHIP!
At the Canterbury, New Hampshire Shaker community, the large Shaker hand looms required chairs with high seats, so the weavers could sit close to their work. The same chairs were also used at shop desks, laundry and ironing tables, and tailors' counters. Today, they are wonderfully suited for use as counter chairs or bar stools in the kitchen or family room. An example of the Shakers' ability to combine utility with beauty.
We make the Weaver's Chair in hard maple. Height of back is 39". Width 18 3/4". Depth 14".
Shown in medium stained maple with a laquer topcoat; woven in 1" Maroon Shaker chair tape in a checkerboard pattern.
Please note: this ready to ship item is only available in mahogany stain with lacquer (see secondary image).
This item is also available as an unassembled and unfinished kit.
