We're excited to now offer our No. 1 Child's Rocker as a kit!
The Shakers were ever sensitive to the importance of designing chairs expressly for those who were to use them. The Shakers at the Mt. Lebanon, New York community numbered their chairs by size, from No. 0 for infants to No. 7 for large adults. They reduced in size all the details of this child's rocker so that the overall proportion remains identical to an adult rocker. A wonderful gift for a youngster aged 3 to 7.
We make the No. 1 Child's Rocker in clear hard maple. Height of back is 29". Width 15". Seat depth 11 1/2".
Shown in Medium Stain with Lacquer Finish; woven in 5/8" Red/Bayberry Stripe Shaker chair tape in a herringbone pattern.
This item is an unassembled and unfinished kit. All physical components to make this as a project are included along with instructions, however, you will be required to provide the necessary sandpaper, glue, and finish--as well as be reasonably comfortable with your own skills to obtain a satisfactory result.
