Mt. Lebanon Shaker Work Table - unassembled and unfinished kit OR finished piece
An early photograph of the ironing room at the Mt. Lebanon, New York community shows a group of Shaker Sisters gathered around a table nearly identical to this one. Its massive construction--with mortise-and-tenon joints, and its generous top (approx. 1 1/4" thick)--with breadboard ends pinned in to prevent warping, have stood up after decades of daily use. Wooden wheels are fixed in place by a small metal pin, to be taken out when the table is moved for cleaning. Useful as a conference table, dining table, or desk. The original is in a private collection.
We make the Mt. Lebanon Work Table entirely of solid clear cherry. Height is 30". Width is approx. 33"; available in four lengths. Shown in an oil and wax finish.
This item is available as an unassembled and unfinished kit OR a finished piece with an oil and wax finish.
With the kit, all the physical components to make this as a project are included along with instructions, however, you will be required to provide the necessary sandpaper, glue, clamps, and finish--as well as be reasonably comfortable with your own skills to obtain a satisfactory result.

Moreover, due to their size, the table tops (for kits) may ship with a furniture delivery service. This will add a further 3 - 5 weeks on average to what might normally expected for UPS.
