No. 7 Slat Back Shaker Rocker - unassembled and unfinished kit
This faithful reproduction of the No. 7 rocker manufactured by the Mt. Lebanon Shakers for sale to the "World's people" reflects the finest aspects of Shaker design and craftsmanship. Its high back with acorn-shaped finials, its smooth turnings and flowing curves, and its overall feeling of lightness have made it popular for generations. Many mothers have also found it to be an ideal nursing rocker. We reproduce a version first produced by the Shakers about 1875 and our replacement parts fit the originals perfectly.
We make the No. 7 Slat Back Rocker in hard maple. Height of back is 42". Height of seat 16". Seat width 23". Seat depth 19".
Shown with a mahogany stain; woven in 1" Maroon and 1" Beige Shaker chair tape in a checkerboard pattern.
This item is an unassembled and unfinished kit. All physical components to make this as a project are included along with instructions, however, you will be required to provide the necessary sandpaper, glue, and finish--as well as be reasonably comfortable with your own skills to obtain a satisfactory result.
