No. 5 Slat Back Shaker Arm Chair with Shawl Rail in Cherry - unassembled and unfinished kit
The Mt. Lebanon Shakers produced chairs that are turned, shaped, and sanded with a result which really cannot be equalled for quality. They are comfortable, too. The gently curved back slats and overall proportions make them excellent for both residential and commercial settings.
We reproduce the No. 5 Shawl Back Shaker Arm Chair in superior grades of clear cherry and hard maple. Height of back is 40 3/4". Height to top of arms 25 1/8". Height of seat 17 1/2". Width 20 3/4". Depth 17 1/8".
Shown in clear cherry with a hand-rubbed Oil and Wax Finish; woven in 1" Black and 1" Teal Blue Shaker chair tape in a checkerboard pattern.
This item is an unassembled and unfinished kit. All physical components to make this as a project are included along with instructions, however, you will be required to provide the necessary sandpaper, glue, and finish--as well as be reasonably comfortable with your own skills to obtain a satisfactory result.
